The countdown is on for Whale Tank 3.0, India’s premier biotech funding event, set to take place at the Khemka Auditorium, Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad. Organised by the Federation of Asian Biotech Associations (FABA), WhaleTank 3.0 promises a day packed with innovation, investor interaction, and breakthrough biotech ideas.
Under the theme “Raise, Scale, and Make History,” Whale Tank continues its mission to empower science-driven startups with credible capital, global mentorship, and strategic infrastructure to scale across borders.
“WhaleTank 3.0 isn’t just another pitch event. It’s where capital meets conviction and where founders find the credibility, infrastructure, and community they need to scale,” said Dr. Jagadeesh Gandla, COO, FABA.
This year’s edition will feature 50+ active investors, 40 shortlisted startups, and a diverse speaker line-up representing synthetic biology, diagnostics, agritech, healthcare, and functional nutrition sectors.
Agenda Highlights – Whale Tank 3.0
The day begins with the inauguration ceremony and investor introductions, followed by a short address on BIRAC’s role in promoting Indian biotechnology, and a success story from Whale Tank alumni, Revelations Biotech.
The first round of 12-minute startup pitches will feature five startups presenting their innovations, each followed by an investor Q&A. Another set of five startups will pitch post the tea break. Attendees can then enjoy networking opportunities during the lunch break.
The momentum builds post-lunch with 10 more startup pitches, allowing founders to showcase their breakthroughs before global investors. Later in the afternoon, the 3-minute express pitches will feature 20 fast-track startups competing for investor attention.
The Investor Feedback Session will follow, outlining the next steps in WhaleTank’s mentorship and funding process. The evening transitions into booth visits, facilitating deeper engagement between investors and startups.
As the day concludes, the audience will witness the Nexa Sweet Product Launch, coupled with 1-minute express pitches, followed by open networking and dinner celebrating innovation and collaboration across the biotech ecosystem.
